Most people don’t have one big problem. They have fourteen small ones, and every one of them is too small to justify calling a specialist — so they sit there for two years.
This is the service for that list. Give me the whole thing and I’ll work through it in one visit, which is far cheaper than four separate trades each charging a call-out.

- Window and door screens repaired or rescreened
- Weatherstripping, door sweeps and thresholds
- Grab bars and handrails fitted into real structure
- Curtain rods, blinds and shades installed
- Baby gates, safety latches and childproofing
- Caulking around tubs, sinks, counters and exterior penetrations
- Hose bibs, gate hardware, mailbox posts and exterior odds and ends
Batching jobs is how you actually save money
Every trade prices in travel and setup. Four separate visits for four twenty-minute jobs costs far more than one visit that handles all four back to back. Write the list on your phone as you notice things over a month, then send me the whole thing.
Grab bars have to hit structure
A grab bar is a safety device and it will be trusted with someone’s full body weight at the worst possible moment. That means blocking, studs, or heavy-duty toggles specifically rated for grab bar loads — never standard drywall anchors. This is one of the few jobs where doing it the quick way is genuinely dangerous.
The Florida-specific list
Salt air eats exterior hardware, humidity swells doors, UV destroys anything plastic left outside, and hurricane season means shutters, tracks and panel hardware that need checking before June. Ask me about seasonal prep — it’s far easier in April than the day a storm is named.

Is there a minimum charge?
One hour. Which is why batching your list is worth doing.
Do you work on rentals and for property managers?
Yes — turnovers, punch lists and ongoing maintenance. Regular clients get scheduling priority.
What will you not do?
Licensed trade work — new electrical circuits and panel work, re-piping and water heaters, gas, HVAC systems, roofing, structural changes, and mold remediation. I’ll tell you straight away and point you at the right trade.
Do you work commercial as well as residential?
Yes. Offices, retail, restaurants, daycare and community facilities — I’ve done everything from wall-mounted displays in a commercial space to a room of cribs for a facility.
